I just defended Obama’s “waivers” that allow military assistance to flow to countries identified by the State Department as using child soldiers.

Because the asshat commenting on this year’s waivers (issued in 2010 and 2011, as well) isn’t interested in human rights, child soldiers, the welfare of a single person in those countries, or the context of Obama’s [very unpopular] decision.

He just cares that people are attacking Obama for something.

And that is not a reason for me to defend Obama, but I am and will continue to do so. Obama is not a fluffy hippie who approaches human rights violaters as if they were killing kittens for sport. I grant you that he should be.

BUT. Romney doesn’t give a fuck about human rights (either?), and he does give a fuck about a whole bunch of other shit I don’t want to see come to pass.

I’m tired of all the political crap. I want this election to be over.
